Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: May 2025
FounderBridge is a curated, high-trust community. The quality of the network depends entirely on members behaving in good faith. This Acceptable Use Policy defines what is and is not acceptable within the FounderBridge platform.
Violations may result in immediate removal from the network without refund or appeal.
What We Expect
✓ Honest representation
Represent yourself, your company, and your stage accurately in your profile and in all interactions with other members.
✓ Good-faith engagement
When you receive an introduction, respond professionally even if the fit isn't right. A simple "not a match right now, but thank you" is always better than silence.
✓ Reciprocal value
Participate in the network with the intent to give as well as receive. Founders who only extract and never contribute undermine the community for everyone.
✓ Confidentiality
Treat information shared by other members — including business challenges, financials, and plans — as confidential. Do not share member information outside the network without consent.
What Is Not Permitted
✗ Spam and unsolicited promotion
Do not use FounderBridge introductions or the member directory to send unsolicited marketing, cold sales outreach, or bulk promotional messages.
✗ Misrepresentation
Do not misrepresent your company stage, funding status, traction, or role. Applications and profiles must reflect reality at the time of submission.
✗ Recruiting and headhunting
Do not use access to the member directory to recruit, headhunt, or solicit employees away from other members' companies.
✗ MLM, pyramid schemes, and scams
Do not use the network to promote multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, investment fraud, or any deceptive financial opportunity.
✗ Harassment and disrespect
Do not engage in harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful communication with other members in any form — including over email or in any platform facilitated by FounderBridge.
✗ Sharing access credentials
Do not share your login credentials or member access with non-members. Membership is individual and non-transferable.
✗ Scraping and data extraction
Do not scrape, copy, or systematically extract member profile data for use outside of FounderBridge. The member directory is for introductions, not lead lists.
Reporting a Violation
If you believe another member has violated this policy, please contact us at trust@founderbridge.net. We review all reports confidentially and take appropriate action including member removal where warranted.
Enforcement
FounderBridge reserves the right to remove any member at any time for violation of this policy or for behavior we determine to be harmful to the community — at our sole discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify members of the reason for removal.
